Martin "M.L." Shull, 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at his daughter's residence.

M.L. was born in Lincoln County, NC on March 14, 1931, a son of the late Webb Shull and Iva Huss Shull Reep. He was retired from the Carlton Yarn Mill in Cherryville. M.L. was a member of Second Baptist Church in Cherryville and the Adult Sunday school class. He was an avid golfer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Doris Mace Shull.

Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Pruett of Cherryville; two sons, Rick Shull and wife Jan of Shelby and Keith Shull of Cherryville; six grandchildren, Katie Blackburn, Logan Perkins, Mark Pruett, Shully Cloninger, Lacey Pruett and Josh Dellinger; twelve great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:45 am to 11:45 am on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Second Baptist Church in Cherryville.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating.

A private burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville.

Due to COVID-19 it is requested that all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
