Marvin Sherrill Ledbetter, age 84, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 at his home in Shelby, NC.

Born in Cleveland County on March 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Gilbert Gustus Ledbetter and Maxine Pearson Ledbetter. In addition to his parents, Sherrill is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Deskin Ledbetter, four brothers, Ray, Travis, Everette and Bob Ledbetter, as well as, one sister Nellie Weaver. Sherrill was a lifelong member of Flint Hill Baptist Church, Retired from the Town of Boiling Springs after several years of employment and was known to tend to his Garden all while sharing his produce with friends, family and neighbors.

Sherrill is survived by his daughter, Heather Ledbetter (Tyrone Ross) and a sister Brenda Bettis. Also left to cherish his memory are many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday November 16, 2022 at Flint Hill Baptist Church with Pastors Keith Dixon and Shane Kirby officiating the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
