Mary Adeline Ellis Dellinger, age 87, went to be with her heavenly Lord, Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Cleveland Pines. Born on January 14, 1928 in Cleveland County she was the daughter of the late Buren Trent and Etta Lee Dawson Ellis. Mary was a lifetime member of Patterson Springs Baptist Church. She was a former leader of the WMU, enjoyed traveling with the senior group, and took care of opening and closing the church for many years. Mary loved sewing and worked at sewing companies for many years. After she retired, she made Country Curtains. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, William James "W. J." Dellinger; two sisters, Austiene Chandler and Betty Midgette; a brother, EB Ellis; and a son-in-law, Jimmie Biggers.

Mary is survived by two sons, Jimmy Dellinger of Patterson Springs and Mike Dellinger and wife Sharon of Wilmington; three daughters, Anne Biggers of Patterson Springs, Wilda Arrowood and husband Danny of Earl, and Sherry Sando and husband Duane of Shelby; a sister, Sara Smith and husband Jerry of Shelby; fifteen grandchildren, Jamie Biggers, Jonathan Biggers, Caroline Biggers and fiancée Brian Murry, Angela Greene and husband Tracy, Daryl Sando and wife Abby, Nicole Walker and husband Bryan, Robert Arrowood and fiancée Michelle, Nathan Arrowood, Brad Arrowood and fiancée Duffie, Sonya Dellinger, Rhonda Froehlich and husband Greg, Jodi Rich and husband Daniel, Wendy Queen, Stephanie Moore, and Steven Boley; twelve great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 1:00pm at Patterson Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Waters officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday night from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
