Mary Ann Kale Greene, 83, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Cleveland County on January 20, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Percy Kale and Eileen Barber Kale. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Roy M. Greene, Sr. and her brothers, Walter Kale and Percy Kale, Jr.

Mrs. Greene is survived by her son, Roy Greene, Jr. (Sandra) of Lattimore, N.C., sister, Carolyn Kale Swink of Shelby, N.C., grandsons, Ethan Lee Greene (Brooke) of Shelby, N.C., Cody Greene (Charneice Crocker) of Gastonia, N.C., great-grandson, Braxton Isaiah Greene of Shelby, N.C., as well as, her step-grandson, Dalton Cooper of the home, sister-in-law, Carolyn Kale Swink of Shelby, NC, niece, Kim Brantley (B.J.) of Columbia, S.C., nephews Johnny Swink (Kim) of Polkville, N.C. and Curtis "Wormy" Swink of Shelby, N.C.

A graveside service to honor the life of Mary Ann Kale Greene will be held 2:00PM, Wednesday September 14, 2022 in the cemetery of Double Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Arndt and Stephen Sain officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00PM - 2:00pm in the cemetery.
