Mary Ann Odom, departed this life on Monday, December, 30, 2019 at Peak Resources in Shelby, NC. She was born on October 30, 1934 in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Eli and Lathy Mary Jackson Odoms.

Ms. Odom was a member of Palmer Grove Baptist Church where she attended until her health declined. She was employed with Ms. Joyce Cline and Family for a number of years. Ms. Odom was known for her outstanding cooking and was once featured in the Shelby Star for her wonderful cooking and baking ability. Although she did not have any children of her own, her nieces and nephews were all like her children and she loved caring for them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Plass Odoms, Roland Odoms and Johnny Franklin Odoms and four sisters, Emma Lizzie Hunt, Betty Lou Russell, Ruth Katherine Ramseur, Margaret Shuford and Carolina Odoms.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Leila Mae Clark of Shelby and Sallie Hill (Eddie) of Lawndale, NC; sister-in-law, Judy Odoms of Hickory, NC and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at 3:30 AM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel in Shelby. Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloemortuary.com. Enloe Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
