Mary Elizabeth Beattie Martin, 70 of 401 N. Morgan Street, Shelby passed
away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland.

Born June 10, 1947 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Enos
Hugh Beattie and Clara Emma Wright Beattie. She was retired from Doran
Textiles and was a member of Waco Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Carrie Williams of Shelby; two grandchildren,
Kim Williams and Abbi Putnam and husband, Wesley; sister, Theresa Eaker of
Shelby; and two brothers, Hugh Beattie of Ellenboro and Jimmy Beattie of
Boiling Springs and a special thanks to Brenda Hoyle, Mary Lou Cook and Ruth
Green who were faithful friends.

Visitation will be 2:00PM until 2:45PM Monday at Waco Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be 3:00PM Monday at Waco Baptist Church with Dr.
Harold Fite officiating.

Burial will follow in Capernaum Cemetery, Waco.
