Mary Ellen Long Chambers, 89, of Shelby, passed away Wednesday December 21, 2022 at Cleveland House of Shelby.

Mary was born on July 29, 1933 to the late Edgar and Evie Long.

In addition to her parents and her husband Burley Chambers, Mary is preceded in death by her four sons: Burley Rudolph Chambers, Jr., Emory Donald Chambers, Ronald Keith Chambers and Kenneth Connally Chambers.

Mary leaves behind her daughter Lisa Jaynes and husband Roy, grandchildren: Mark Revels, Hunter Martin, her husband Dale, Danielle Miller, her husband Johnathon and great grandchildren: Haylee Martin, Jaileigh Miller, Riley Miller and Morgan Miller.

A memorial service for Mary will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will take place an hour prior to the service.
