Mary Faye Wright Hopper, age 91, passed away on March 29, 2021 at her home.

Born in Cleveland County on May 10, 1929 she was one of thirteen children born to the late Charlie Lee Wright and Maggie Weathers Wright.

She was a long time member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and served on various committees and she was also a member the Thermal Belt A Model Club. Faye will be remembered for her wonderful cooking and enjoyed painting landscapes in her free time as well as some ceramics. Above all she enjoyed her family, immediate and extended and activities with them.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Weldon Hopper, four brothers; Everett, Herman, Ralph, and Zeb and six sisters; Helen Camp, Margaret Hendrick, Wilma Grigg, Eunice Queen and Maxine Willis.

Faye is survived by her two sons, Daryl Hopper and Celia their children; John Pribble, Jimmy Pribble, and Lisa Alvino and David Hopper and wife Lisa and their children, Joshua Harrison, Lance Hopper and Jacob Hopper, as well as one sister Isabelle Lowery and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday April 2, 2021 at Sulphur Springs Untied Methodist Church with Reverends Roy Byers and Pricilla Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 pm until 2 pm in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

It is requested that those in attendance wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
