Mary Frank "Frankie" Wright Patterson, age 96, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Hospice Wendover. Born on December 15, 1925, she was the daughter of the late, Amos Matthew Wright and Missy Elizabeth Johns Wright. In addition to her parents, Frankie is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Patterson, her sister, Pearl Staggs, as well as, a special friend, George Martin.

She was a faithful member of Central United Methodist Church, where for many years, she was active in the Wesley Sunday School Class, the Altar Guild, the United Methodist Women and the OWLS Seniors Group. She enjoyed her volunteer work at the church, Atrium Health Cleveland, and Jefferson Elementary School. Frankie retired from Fiber Industries after several years of employment.

She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Smith (Fred) of Ft. Mill, SC and Cathy Newton (Pete) of Shelby, NC, her two sons, Del Patterson (Pam) of Patterson Springs, NC and Kevin Patterson (Sherry Stevens) of Spartanburg, SC. Also left to cherish her memory, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the home of Frankie on July 2, 2022 from 3:00PM - 5:00PM, 2531 Taylor Rd Shelby, NC 28152. A private service for the family will be held at Cleveland Memorial Park where she will be buried next to her husband.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to an organization of the donor's choice.
