SHELBY: Mary Helen Morrison McCombs, 80, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, at White Oak Manor in Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Ollie Hamrick Morrison. She was a member of Davidson Memorial Baptist Church, and retired from Cleveland Regional Medical Center as a Nursing Supervisor.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben McCombs; brother, Herman Morrison; and sister, Edna Bolin.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, Jerry McCombs and wife Connie of Shelby; sisters, Ruby Pruitt and Joyce Griffin and husband Leroy, all of Shelby; brothers, Paul Morrison and wife Patricia of Shelby, Kenneth Morrison and wife Linda of Kernersville, Rev. Fain Morrison and wife Shelby of Shelby, Blaine Morrison of Shelby, and Rev. Calvin Morrison and wife Patty of Polkville; grandchildren, Kevin McCombs and wife Kim of Grover, Terri Anderson and husband Shane, Steven McCombs and wife Leslie, and Tiffany Phillips and husband David, all of Shelby; and sister-in-law, Toshia Morrison of Polkville.

VISITATION: The family will receive friends 12:30-1:30pm, Monday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 1:30pm, Monday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

OFFICIATING: Rev. Fain Morrison will officiate

BURIAL: Will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park
