Mary Jean Lattimore Floyd

Mary Jean Lattimore Floyd, 86, of Five Points Rd., Polkville, passed away
Monday April 30, 2018 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.

She was a loving mother, granny and faithful Christian. Born February 27,
1932 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late John Lattimore and
Margaret Nichols Lattimore McKnight. She was a lifelong member of Polkville
United Methodist Church where she was the choir director and Sunday school
teacher for decades, member of Polkville United Methodist Women, Camp Call
Eastern Star and was retired as the after school director at Union
Elementary School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of
sixty one years, Alston Ray Floyd.

Survivors include one son, Al Floyd and wife Danna of Polkville; three
daughters, Anne Clay of Barnsville, GA, Carson Griffin and husband Marty of
Brevard and Jeanie Bridges of Shelby; nine grandchildren, Laurie Crump,
Ginny Graham, Lee Greene, Tommy Greene, Amanda Lewis, Mary Griffin, Adam
Floyd, Brittany Shaffer and Katy Floyd; eleven great grandchildren; six
great great grandchildren; beloved dog, Lucy.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The memorial service will be 2:00PM Friday at Polkville United Methodist
Church with Rev. Bill Lovelace officiating.

A private burial will be held in the Lattimore Family Cemetery.
