Mary Jo Schumacher Lowery, 78, an energetic and passionate soul, completed her earthly journey on July 20, 2025.

She was born on April 17, 1947, in Deckerville, MI.

Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Anthony Schumacher and Audrey Patricia Schumacher, her first husband, Thomas Casey; second husband, Alvin Lowery; her sister Audrey Schumacher; and two brothers, Joseph and Maurice Schumacher.

She is survived by her son Michael Casey, and her daughters, Lisa Thackerson and husband JR, as well as Shannon Hall and husband Eddie; a brother, Paul Schumacher, along with sisters, Patricia Adamowicz and Cynthia Schumacher, six grandchildren, Joseph and Audrey Thackerson, Shelby Raposa and husband William, Daron Fortenberry Jr., Anthony and Hallie Jo Hall; two great-grandchildren, Javen and Charlotte Raposa, will remember her sharp wit and fun loving spirit.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 3, at 2:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. William Raposa II to deliver her eulogy. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Mary Jo's cremains will be interred on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:00 am at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Ruth, MI with Father Anthony Pilli delivering the prayer.
