Mary Jones White, age 84, of Bostic, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Oak Grove Healthcare Center.

Mary was born October 26, 1934 in Rutherford County to the late C. E. Jones and Merlie Toney Jones. Mary was a graduate of Cool Springs High School, class of 1954 and worked twenty-nine years for Cone Mills-Florence Plant. She was an active member of Mountain View Baptist Church until her health declined. She was the leader of the Women's Prayer Group and was a dedicated servant of the Lord. Mary also enjoyed reading and cooking for her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Charles Roy White; two sisters, Gale Jones and Patsy Clark; four brothers, Joe, Nollie, Clarence and Floyd Jones and a grandson, Timothy White.

Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Ray White of Bostic, one sister, Dorothy Jones of Mooresboro; one brother, Harce Jones of Bostic and sister-in-law, Joyce Jones of Bostic. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Christopher White, Charles White, Kaleb White, Rayanna Bailey and three great-grandchildren, Bransyn Bailey, Anna White and Izzy White.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Wayne Toney and Reverend Clayton Hartsell officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Sunday.
