Mary Kathleen Lookadoo Goforth, 94, passed away Friday, March 21, 2024 at Atrium Health Cleveland. Born in Cleveland County on November 15, 1929, she was the daughter of the late G.P. Lookadoo and Maggie Lee Terry Lookadoo. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Charles Goforth, granddaughter Tabatha Charissa Whitaker, great grandson Madison Whitaker, brothers Donald Lookadoo and Clifford Lookadoo and her sister, Donnis Moose.

Kathleen is survived by her son Charles Warren Goforth wife Sherry and two daughters Connie Greene husband Tommy and Kim Tongel husband Ralph. Also left to cherish her memory is her brother, J.D. Lookadoo Sr., as well as many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers Sharon Lane, Glenda Smith, Nesie Burdick as well as her special friend Mona Johnson and special family at the Life Enrichment Center of Shelby.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Pleasant City Church in Shelby, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. Burial will be held at Cleveland Memorial Park following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Madison Childhood Cancer Foundation: 679 Victorian Circle Dallas, GA 30157.
