Mary Kathleen Wilson, age 88, of Caroleen, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born January 17, 1929 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late L.J. Ferguson and Ethel Haulk Ferguson. Mary worked for Burlington Industries-Caroleen for twenty-four years and was a faithful member of Victory Baptist Church of Ellenboro. She loved crocheting, sewing and flower gardening. She was loved dearly by her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-years, Harrill Wilson; six brothers, Eugene, Donald, George, Zeb, Steve and Johnny Ferguson and a granddaughter, Marsha Street.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, John Marshall Wilson of Caroleen; two daughters, Mary Ann Wilson also of Caroleen and Virginia Morrison and husband, Alfred of Ellenboro and a brother, Dwight "Buddy" Ferguson and wife, Brenda of Rutherfordton. She is also survived by one grandson, Shannon Morrison and wife Dawn; five great-grandchildren, Johnathan Wellman, Matthew Wellman, Elizabeth Goode, Tucker Flay Morrison, Savannah Morrison; one great-great granddaughter, Sharon Woody; and four sisters-in-law, Terry Ferguson, Carrie Ferguson, Kathy Ferguson and Nancy Ferguson.
The funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Johnny McCarty officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. At other times they will be gathered at 213 E. Dalton Road, Ellenboro, NC.
