Mrs. Mary Sue Jones Greene, age 93 died Monday December 10, 2012 at White Oak Manor in Charlotte. Born on January 1, 1919 in Rutherford County she was the daughter of the late Henry Clifford and Annie Ethel Cantrell Jones. Mrs. Greene was a member of First Baptist Church and was retired from Belk. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Crawford Greene; four brothers; two sisters; and one grandchild.
Mrs. Greene is survived by two sons, James “Jim” Greene Jr. and wife Gwyn of Rocky Mount, John Greene and wife Jackie of Charlotte; four brothers, Charles Jones, Hoyle Jones, Myles Jones and Dean Jones; six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 14, 2012 at 11:00am in the Webb Chapel of First Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Tench officiating. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 10:00am until 11:00 am in the Webb Chapel.
