Matthew "Jorden" McCormick, 27, of Shelby, NC, departed from life unexpectedly on Friday, September 12, 2025, in Clover, SC. He was the son of Crystal McCormick (Edward), Rocklin"Bud" Haskin, the late Nancy Haskin and Andre Sloan.

He was preceded in death by and now waiting in heaven for him are Nancy (NaNa) Haskin, Patrick McCormick, Johnny and Jean Haskin, Nancy Sloan, and Roger McClain, Jr.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Crystal McCormick (Edward), Rocklin"Bud" Haskin, and Andre Sloan; sisters, Margo Davidson, Amber Mitchell, Chasitey Sloan, Ceona Archie, and Hannah Six; brothers, Benjy Benton (Michelle), Michael Hensley, and Justin McClain; grandmother, Kathy Sloan; aunt, Sarah Dulude (Jeff); uncles, Jamie Roshia, Travis Sloan, and Darin Hoyle; nieces, Ava Davidson, Gemma Davidson, Laiyah Benton; nephews, Caleb Petri, Malachi Addison, Derek Mitchell, Halen Davidson, and Lincoln Mitchell; and an extreme number of friends and family whom cannot be listed because he was loved by so many.

Funeral services were held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Le Chãteau du Coeur, 527 Whitaker Road, Shelby, NC.
