Max Wendell Bridges, 74, of Hwy 274, Cherryville, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at his residence.

Born in Mecklenburg County, NC on September 9, 1945, he was the son of the late Zaye Morris Bridges and Bertie Lee Hamrick Bridges. He was retired from Western-Auto as a truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angela Bridges; three brothers, Bobby Bridges, Ted Bridges and Ricky Bridges and a sister, Beverly Bridges.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Katherine Mullis Bridges; a step daughter, Talia Quinn of Clover; two step grandchildren and three sisters, Betty Goodson of Shelby, Wanda Carpenter of Shelby and Elizabeth Jones of Charlotte and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be at Cleveland Memorial Park with the Rev. Barry Goodman officiating.
