BOILING SPRINGS, NC - It is with heavy hearts we announce that Megan Nicole Daves, 35, of Shelby, NC was called to her heavenly home on Friday, December 6, 2019 at her residence. She is survived by her parents, Linda and Robert Wilkins of Earl, NC; father, Benjamin Reid Daves III of South Carolina; sisters, Amanda Daves of Asheville, NC and Summer Daves of Florence, SC; special sisters, Ehrin and Leah Sheets of Shelby, NC; children, Dylan Jesse Eaker, Michael Lee Ellis III and Amelia Kathleen Renee Hopper of Shelby, NC; grandmother, Phyllis Beaver of Shelby, NC; nieces, Matison and Abbigal Church of Shelby, NC and Jordan Jones of Asheville, NC; nephews, Blade and Kayden Murray of Asheville, NC; aunt and uncle, Brad and Katie Daves of Shelby, NC and Tim and Kristy Daves of Florence, SC, Joe Skimmiehorn, Ben Skimmiehorn and Steve "Snoopy" Skimmiehorn; numerous more aunts and uncles and cousins;

Megan is proceeded in death by her son, Benjamin Scott Eaker, Jr.; brother, Jordon Daves; sister, Gretchen Smith; sister-in-law, Melissa Eaker; grandfathers, Harlem Skimmiehorn and Benjamin Reid Daves, Sr.; grandmother, Sieglinde Skimmiehorn; uncle Ralf Skimmiehorn.

Megan was a loving mother that loved her children more than her own life. Megan never wanted to be defined by her addiction, she was so much more than that. Megan's battle of addiction ultimately took her life. Megans smile and laugh would light up a room. She wanted nothing more than a fresh start to a more positive life for her and her kids, and was so close to having it, until she was called home to end the battle she fought so hard to overcome.

The family asks only for support and prayers to everyone who is now left to mourn the loss of someone who has changed their heart and lives forever.

A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 746 Trinity Church Road, Mooresboro, NC 28114 on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 7:00 PM with Harlon Joe Skimmiehorn officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
