Melanie Jean Hamrick, age 63, of Mooresboro, North Carolina, passed away at her home Thursday, May 30th, 2024.

Melanie was born in Shelby, North Carolina, on January 27th, 1961.Melanie was the daughter of the late Ted and Doris Brittain. In addition to her parents, Melanie was also preceded in death by her husband, James Hamrick, of 24 years.
Melanie served Cleveland and other surrounding counties as a realtor for over 20 years before retiring from Caldwell Banker as a Real Estate Agent.

Melanie will be remembered by those who knew her for her fun and outgoing personality. She was a lady who never met a stranger, nor ever missed an opportunity to show someone a little kindness. Her family will remember her as a very funny and warm hearted person, with a great sense of humor. She was loving mom who always put her children and family first.

Left to cherish the memory of this loving lady is her two daughters, Brittany Burnett and Lauren Hamrick; loving partner of over 20 years, Robert Stamey; two grandchildren, Chloee and Ember Burnett; one sister, Cathy Smith; mother-in-law, Faye Brittain and one nephew, Tripp Smith, and her grand puppy, Mattie Mae

A private service by the family will be held at a later date.
