Melissa "Lisa" Ann Huggins, age 51, of Bates Avenue, passed away Sunday August 4, 2019 at home. She was born May 1, 1968 in Cleveland County to the late Graham Austin, Sr. and Patsy Bloomer Huggins.

Lisa attended Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her sister unconditionally. Lisa was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed.

In addition to her parents Melissa was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Edward Hamilton, second husband, Donnie Brooks, both Maternal and Paternal grandparents; and her brother, Austin Huggins.

Left for cherish her memory are her children; Christina Hamilton and fiancé Mike, Karen Reyes and husband Joel, Jeremey Hamilton and wife Autumn, and Johnny Brookes; sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Gregory Jenkins of the home; 9 grandchildren. She cherished time with her friends; Wayne Waters, Monica Helms, Lisa Greene, and Dana Daves. She also leaves behind her special pets; Rocky and Dixie.

A Celebration of Melissa's life will be held at 5 PM Saturday August 10, 2019 at Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church with Pastor Bobby Holtsclaw officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 4:00 to 4:45 prior to her service at the church.

Burial will be private.
