Melissa "Missy" Sain Kuykendall
Melissa "Missy" Sain Kuykendall, 47 of Kings Mountain, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Atrium Health - Cleveland, Shelby.

Some people only walk this earth for a short time and their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us always and Melissa was the sweetest Angel.
On December 30th, Melissa "Missy" rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings. Melissa was a compassionate spirit whose passion was caring for others within her family, church and friends. She was a "stay-at-home" mom and that title never did her justice. She was a teacher, chef, personal assistant, nurse, peacekeeper, correctional officer and family CEO (Chief home officer). The best way you could describe her would be a loving mother, dedicated wife, faithful friend, proud grandmother and the one person that wouldn't let you leave her sight without giving you a hug, kiss on the cheek and telling you she loved you. God knew he needed some help snuggling all the babies so he had to recruit earths best and bring her to Heaven.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Nathaniel Reynon.
Survivors include her husband of 29 1/2 years, Wilburn Edward "Eddie" Kuykendall; two sons, Johnathan Kuykendall of Kings Mountain and Elijah Kuykendall and wife, Katlin of Shelby; three daughters, Jade Kuykendall Tyson-Bryant and husband, Christian of Kings Mountain, Rebekah Reynon of Lawndale and Hannah Kuykendall of Lawndale; five grandchildren, Jasper Kuykendall, Cobe, Malachi, Ian and Jazara Tyson-Bryant; two sisters, Cindy McMurry and husband, Stephen of Lawndale and Kim Perlman and husband, Aaron of Morganton. Also surviving are four nephews, Nathan, Dustin, Zack McMurry and Jacob Houck and one niece, Kailey Houck.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 1:30PM to 2:45PM at Faith Baptist Church in Shelby.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Faith Baptist Church with Dr. Barry Goodman officiating.
