Mr. Merman Lee "ML" Walker, age 83 of Spindale, NC died Friday November 16^th at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. ML was a native of Rutheford County, NC and a member of Second Baptist Church of Rutherfordton. He also served in the National Guard.

ML was preceded in death by his father and mother Cliff and Alma Waker; brother Tim Walker, and sisters Betty Godfrey and Judy Morgan;

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Joan Guffey Walker; son Eddie Lee Walker and wife Elizabeth of Rutherfordton; daughters Cindy Buff and Husband Jim of Harris, NC; Cathy Liverette and husband Roger of Cliffside, NC; brother Fletcher Walker and wife Loretta of Shiloh, NC; four grandchildren Jennifer Walker Bradley, Carol Ann Walker, John Bradley Moore and Amber Johnson; nine great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM on November 18^th with Rev. Keith Stephenson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. Online condolences may be made at www.crowemortuary.com.
