Michael Jesse Wyatt
Mr. Michael Jesse Wyatt, age 56, of Kings Mountain passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center after a years battle with cancer.
"Mike" is preceded in death by his father, Vincent Boren Wyatt and mother, Emily Viola Bowman Wyatt, as well as his sister, Emily Mae Whittemore and brothers, Bobby Eugene Wyatt and Fredrick Wyatt.
Mike is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marguerite Marie Wyatt; daughters, Darcy and Julia; sons, Steven and Thomas; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his five sisters and their husbands; Caroline and Tommy Haynes, Vona and Larry Merrymen, Paulette and John McConnell, Theresa and Jim Ryan, and Brenda Wyatt Crabtree; brother and his wife, Emery and Kathy Williamson; and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.
Mike enlisted in the army on November 30, 1977. During his military career, he was assigned to the 101st Airborne where he worked in avionics as an aircraft pneudraulic systems mechanic until he was honorably discharged. Following his time in the service, Mike pursued a career in construction, culminating with the achievement of his general contractor's license.
He was a devoted Christian who demonstrated a passion for worship through the ministry of music. His hobbies and interests included fishing, golfing, woodworking, gold mining, and writing and playing music.
Mike professed love to be the greatest gift of all. His love for his wife, family and friends was insurmountable. His life was marked by compassion and generosity, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Services are Monday, October 12, 2015, and will be held at Family Worship Center in Kings Mountain, NC. The visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., and the memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Following the memorial service, a graveside military burial will take place at Cleveland Memorial Park.
