Michael Steven "Steve" Goforth, 61, of Kings Mountain passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Atrium Healthcare of Shelby.

Steve enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was the son of the late Barbara Camp Acuff from Grover and Howard Thomas Goforth from Cherryville. Grandson of the late Raymond and Ella Camp, John Howard Goforth and Norma Goforth. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Carl Goforth and grandson, Dakota Goforth.

He is survived by his children, Rebecca Martin and Jon of Lawndale, Jennifer Scarborough and Jeremy of Kings Mountain and Ian Goforth of Kings Mountain; sisters, Carol Goforth, Susie Marlow and Cindy Mitchell; brother, Bobby Goforth; grandchildren, Breeleigh and Asher Martin, Colton and Ember Scarborough, Kadin, Leila, Anastasia and Peyton Goforth.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 20, 2021 at First Wesleyan Church, 505 North Piedmont Avenue, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 with Pastor Caleb Williams and Pastor Don Williams officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be held at Grover Cemetery, 207 Bethlehem Church Road, Grover, NC 28073.
