Dallas - Mrs. Mildred Hudson Rhyne, 90, passed away on Friday, September 28,
2018 at Peak Resources in Cherryville.

Mrs. Rhyne was born in Gaston County, NC on July 11, 1928 a daughter of the
late Albert F. Hudson and Maggie Gamble Hudson. She was a 1946 graduate of
Gastonia High School. Mrs. Rhyne worked for Gaston County Extension from
1946 to 1963 and for Rhyne Elementary School in Gastonia from 1964-1965.
She moved to Charlotte in 1965 and worked at Albemarle Road Presbyterian
Church from 1967 to 1982 and Mint Hill Presbyterian, formerly Idlewild
A.R.P. Church from 1983 to 1994 where she retired.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 67
years, William E. Rhyne; a brother, Thomas R. "Alfred" Hudson and three
sisters, Pauline Stroup, Zelma M. Hudson and Leona H. Mitchell.

Survivors include three sons, David W. Rhyne of Charlotte; Thomas E. Rhyne
of Dallas and Gerald "Jerry" Rhyne of Albemarle; a grandson, Trevor D. Rhyne
of Charlotte; a sister, Margaret Caldwell of Gastonia and a brother Don P.
Hudson of Charlotte; also surviving are special nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10: 00 AM on Monday, October 1, 2018 at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

The family will greet friends following the service.

Burial will be at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Dallas.
