Mrs. Mildred Lee Powell Cline, 94 of 117 Cook Street, Lawndale passed away,
Friday, March 17, 2017 at White Oak Manor in Shelby.

Born October 3, 1922 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Ambrose Lee Powell and Doshie Mildred Beaver Powell. She was retired from
Cleveland Mills as a spinner and she also worked at JC Penney and Wray
Department Store. Mrs. Cline was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul
Clark Cline, Jr.; son, Paul Ambrose Cline; brother, T.B. Powell and two
sisters, Evelyn Powell and Annie Powell.

Survivors include a son, Steve Cline and wife, Karla of Lawndale; daughter,
Ann Ellis and husband, Hubert of Polkville; four grandchildren, David
Bridges; John Bridges and wife, Angie; Jeff Cline and wife, Tracy and Paula
Martin and husband, Allen; eight great-grandchildren, Isaac Bridges, Amanda
Jones, Brandon Jones, Nathan Cline, Nora Cline, Aonesty Martin, Blackely
Martin, and Avin Martin; a brother, Robert Powell and wife, Jean of
Morganton; a sister, Shirley Nelson of Atlanta, Georgia; sister-in-law,
Arrie Powell of Shelby; and a special niece, Amy Beach and husband Jeff and
daughter, Brittany.

The family would like to thank the staff of White Oak Manor and Hospice
Cleveland County for all the care and support they provided.

Visitation will be Monday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at New Bethel Baptist
Church, Lawndale, NC.

A funeral service will be at 3:00 PM Monday at New Bethel Baptist Church
with Rev. Dr. Tim Elmore officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
