Mildred Roberson Hawkins age 85, died Monday September 21, 2015 at Dinwiddie Health and Rehab Center in Dinwiddie, VA. Born in Rutherford County on May 19, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Alfred Carl Roberson and Delia Barnwell Roberson. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church of Shelby, NC and retired from Doran Textiles after 30 years of service. She enjoyed her church, flowers, gardening, quilting, and her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jetonne Hawkins; her son Louis Wayne Hawkins, brothers, Claude Roberson, Edger Roberson, AC Roberson and sister, Margret Roberson.

Mildred is survived her two sons Randy Hawkins and wife Pat of Disputants, VA and Dean Hawkins and wife Sally of Bentonville, AR. sister Evelyn Fry of Hendersonville, NC Grandchildren Kelly Reese, Suzanne Spearman, Carrie Foust, Adam Hawkins, Ashley Curtis, Tria Fore, Brittany Hawkins, and Hunter Hawkins.

The family will receive friends at 10 o'clock on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Beaver Dam Baptist Church with service following at 11am with Dr. Paul Sorrells officiating.

Burial will follow at Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
