SHELBY-Millicent "Millie" Morgan Greene, 87, died Friday, March 31, 2017, at Willow RidgeNursing Center. A native of Cherokee County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Dever and Leila Traylor Morgan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.P. Greene Jr.; grandson, Shane Bowman, sisters, Ruth Pearson, Lee Morgan, Frances Bridges, Nell Morgan, Barbara Morgan, Sylvia Morgan, and Lily Mae Morgan; brothers, Joe Morgan and Bobby.

She is survived by her son, Eddie Greene and wife Rosa; daughter, Sherree Bowman and husband Randy, all of Shelby; great-grandchildren, Brianna Bowman and Lane Bowman of Shelby; grandson, Jason Ledbetter and wife Casey of Polkville; great-grandson, Michael Ledbetter; and sisters, Carolyn Absher of Spartanburg and Shirley Barton of Shelby.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Mark Patchett.
