Milton Haynes, Jr.

Milton Haynes, Jr., 82, of 410 Kildare Drive Shelby, NC passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at his residence.

He was born in Cleveland County, NC on October 7, 1937 to the late Milton Haynes, Sr. and Fannie Mae Moncree Haynes.

Milton was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. As a hardworking individual, he was formerly employed with PPG Industries, Spectrum Industries and he worked in the autobody repair field for a number of years. His passion was working on cars and he also loved buying and selling cars and worked on deals even through his declining health. Milton also loved to cook.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Haynes and a great-granddaughter, Alazja Gabreille Weathers.

He leaves to cherish fond memories to his wife, Effie Borders Haynes; a son, Michael Haynes (Pamela) of Shelby; a daughter, Angie Moore (Leon) of San Bernardino, CA; step-children, Ramona Mensah (David) of Beech Island, SC and Rita Rawlinson (Ralph) of Gastonia, NC; siblings, Essie Hardy of Shelby, Carl Haynes (Jeanette) of Winston-Salem, NC, Josephine Wilson (Jerry) of Kings Mountain, NC, Robert "Preacher" Haynes (Barbara) and Annie Bell Anderson both of Shelby; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mr. Haynes will be private. A viewing will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020, at Shoal Creek Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
