Morris "Junior" Henson, age 86, of Kelly-Cole Road, Rutherfordton, NC,
went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 5, 2019 at Holly
Springs Senior Citizen Center.

Morris was born May 16, 1932 in Rutherford County to the late
Oscar Henson and Dera Butler Henson. He was a graduate of Harris High
School, class of 1950 and served his country in the U.S. Army. Morris
worked for General Fireproofing for several years and for Fasco
Industries in Shelby before retirement. He was a lifetime member of
Holly Springs Baptist Church where he served faithfully as an usher.
Morris was known by all as a "Good-Hearted" man. Morris loved God,
his church, his community and his family. He enjoyed his final days at
Holly Springs Senior Citizen Home where he received excellent care and
love.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife
of fifty-one years, Betty Adams Henson; one sister, Edna Grant and six
brothers, Herman, Gene, Collis, Clarence, Ralph and Grady Henson.

Those left to cherish his memory include a "Goddaughter", Deb
Owens of Waves, NC and a host of special nephews and nieces who cared
for him deeply.

Funeral services will be conducted 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8,
2019 at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Hodge and
Reverend Scott Moneyham officiating. Interment will follow in the church
cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Rutherford County
Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service
time at the church.
