Moses Winslow Wright Jr., 93 of Jeanne Drive, Shelby passed away January 4,
2017 at Peak Resources in Shelby.

Born September 16, 1923 to the late Moses Winslow Wright Sr. and Georgia Lee
Hayes Wright. Mr. Wright was retired from the US Postal Service as a mail
carrier and was a member of Westwood Heights Baptist Church. He served in
the US Army Air Corps during World War II.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Carrie
W. Wright; four brothers, JC Wright, Odus Wright, Hugh Wright, and Aaron "
Bud" Wright; seven sisters, Nancy King, Jean Blanton, Velma Wright, Eva
Wright, Alma Freeman, Clara Wright and Bessie Bridges.

He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Edna Louise Shepherd Wright of
the home; two stepsons, Danny Darnell and Tony Darnell both of Shelby; and
sister, LaVerne Wright of Fallston.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Friday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home, Fallston. At other times the family will be at the home of LaVerne
Wright, 319 Wilson Drive, Fallston, NC 28042.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home Chapel, with the Rev. David Costner officiating.

Memorial may be made to Westwood Heights Baptist Church, 650 Dellinger Rd,
Shelby, NC 28152.
