Moss Hired As Heart Ball Director
Jessica Moss
 From educating the young to entertaining the “young at heart,” Jessica Moss will use the skills she learned in her former position as Executive Director of KidSenses Children’s InterACTIVE Museum in Rutherfordton, N.C. to become successful in her new role as Heart Ball Director for the American Heart Association.  Moss, who joined the AHA in July, served as both the Director of Programs and Exhibits and the Executive Director for the children’s museum over the last five years.  She was responsible for bringing in over $1 million in donations since 2010.
 Moss will be calling on many of the same corporate and community leaders to support the Cleveland and Catawba County Heart Balls.  The two regional balls share a long tradition in their respective communities. The 19th Annual Catawba County Heart Ball will be held March 1, 2014 at Lake Hickory Country Club in Hickory, NC, and the 16th Annual Cleveland County Heart Ball will be held at the LeGrand Center in Shelby, NC on March 22, 2014.
 While the AHA position is new for Moss, being involved in Heart Ball is not.  She has served as the emcee of the Cleveland County Heart Ball for the last three years.  Heart Ball, a year-long campaign in both counties, raises funds for lifesaving cardiovascular and stroke research as well as the development of community and professional education programs from the American Heart Association.
