Mr. Jimmy Whitworth, 62 of Grover, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Wanda Bolen Whitworth of the home, three children, Tana Leann Whitworth of Shelby, NC, Edward Bolen of Grover, NC, and Judy Elizabeth Justice of Shelby, NC, six grandchildren, Katie Whitworth, Carrie Whitworth, James Ray Bowen, Alisa Bowen, Curtis Justice and Austin Donahue, a brother, Dwayne Whitworth and wife Laura of Shelby, NC, and a sister, Lynn Whitworth Ellison and husband Richard of Shelby, NC.
Born June 24, 1955 in Chattahoochee, GA, Jimmy was the son of the late William and Alice Bowen Whitworth and was preceded in death by a brother, William Howard Whitworth.
Mr. Whitworth was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed watching old westerns, working on cars, and spending time with his family and friends.
The family will conduct a private service at a later date.
