Multi-award winning photographer and lecturer Randy McNeilly, of McNeilly Photography, has returned home from a meeting of CameraCraftsmen in Quebec City, Canada. Randy was recently offered membership into this prestigious organization of photographers which accepts only 40 members worldwide. Since 1979 Randy’s photographic focus has been in portraiture.
CameraCraftsmen began in 1905 with a small group of professional photographers who had a willingness to share with each other their knowledge, techniques, vision and companionship. CameraCraftsmen has evolved into one of the most highly respected independent organizations in the world of photography .
To be invited into this exclusive group of 40, a photographer must have exhibited a master of the profession, be sponsored by four members and have his/her work examined by the entire group. Acceptance into CameraCraftsmen is a lifetime appointment with an invitation to a new member taking place only after the death of a current member.
