Muriel N. Bradley

Muriel N. Bradley, 93, passed away on March 30, 2022.

She was born August 26, 1928 in Lincoln County, NC to the late Robert M. and Minnie Cook Norman. Mrs. Bradley was a cosmetologist since 1964, eventually owning and operating Muriel's Beauty Shop from 1967-2014. She was a long-time member of Mulberry Baptist Church where she served many years as WMU President and International Missions Consultant, and was very involved in the Mecklenburg Baptist Association as a Language Consultant for local international churches. Her love of both foreign and home missions began when she was a member of Westview Baptist Church in the 1950's. For years she was part of the "Look Good Feel Better Program" with the American Cancer Society and retired as an ambassador for Hospice. She participated in several mission trips with the Mecklenburg Baptist Nurses Association Dental Bus Program. Her inspiration, along with hundreds of helping hands, were instrumental in building and completion of the Jackson Park Ministries gymnasium. The original chapel for the old Army Air Corps (Morris Field) still stands next to the Jackson Park Christian gym.

Mrs. Bradley will be remembered for her beauty, grace, lovely singing voice, doing good works, and her love of God, her church and her family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John G. Bradley.

Mrs. Bradley is survived by two daughters, Dawn Sheppard (Lamar) of Blowing Rock NC; Joy Edwards (Paul) of Los Angeles CA; one son, John G. Bradley III (Beatrice), Concord NC; sisters, Charlotte Lefler, Ruth Baxter Laney; brother, Bob Norman (Helen), Roy Lail (brother, deceased); 5 grandchildren (Amy, Bradley, John, Paul, Jake), 8 great-grandchildren (Graham, Jacob Boyd, Alex, Alston, Alissa, Cate, Haley Grace, Dawson), several cousins, nieces, nephews and their families, and many special friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 3, 2022 with service at 2:00PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel, in Fallston, NC. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston NC.
