It's time for Mush, Music and Mutts to mark the wonders of fall in Shelby. Join in the fun with this traditional food festival that has something for everyone. Of course there is Liver Mush to sample, with a variety of preparations and choices. There is a fall festival ofchildren's activities on the Court Square with Uptown Shelby Association and volunteers offering crafts and fun activities for the kids.
Pet owners will appreciate the Pet Festival on Warren Street, with contests and educational offerings for pets and their humans, sponsored by Roll Over Pets. Then you can shop at the Foothills Farmers Market like every Saturday.
Mush Music and Mutts will present two outdoor stages at each end of Washington Street. Catch performances by many regional groups throughout the day. Little Miss Liver Mush will be crowned again this year. And many other groups will be participating to bring you fum and entertainment. Many restaurants will feature a Liver Mush special dish, and other food traditions will be highlighted this year.
This year's Mush, Music & Mutts Festival will take on a two day format beginning with a NC Brew Fest and Chili Cook-Off on Friday Night, October 16th.
General Admission Sampling Pass for the Brew Fest and Rotary Chili Cook-Off includes a commemorative cup and unlimited sampling of beer and chili for only $35.00 per person. Tickets, if available on October 16, will be $45 at the event. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold.
NC Brew Fest Admission Pass is $25.00, includes a commemorative cup and unlimited 4 ounce pours of beer.
Rotary Chili-Cook Off Admission Pass is $10.00, includes unlimited chili tastings. (7 & under are admitted free)
IMPORTANT INFO: Everyone MUST BE 21+ years of age to purchase tickets for the Brew Fest and valid ID is required for admission. Event staff reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime. No outside food or beverage permitted. We are well stocked, but beer selections are subject to availability and may change without notice.The event held is on Washington Street in Uptown Shelby.
