Myra Virginia Philbeck Graham, 82, of Shelby, NC passed away on April 30, 2024 from progression of Chronic Kidney Disease.

Myra was born on December 12, 1941 to Ernest Spurgeon Philbeck and Bertha Dickens Philbeck in Shelby, NC.

Myra graduated from Shelby High School in 1960. After high school Myra excelled in a career that included both accounting and interior home decorating. Anyone who knows Myra knows that her home was her canvas.

In 1959 Myra met Hugh Edward Graham in Shelby, NC. Myra and Hugh have two children; Miriam Graham Bell and spouse, Jeff Bell, of Ellenboro, NC, and Julie Graham McGinnis and spouse Chad McGinnis of Rutherfordton, NC.

In addition to her parents Myra is predeceased by one son, Barry Edward Graham, born on February 21, 1970, date of death on February 24, 1970, great-granddaughter Aurora Leighann Bell, born on July 19, 2021, date of death January 29, 2022.

In addition to her spouse and children, Myra is survived by one brother, Benjamin Steve Philbeck of Shelby, NC, and five grandchildren; Abby Garlock and spouse Brandon of Shelby, NC, Cindy Cook of Surfside Beach, SC, Rachel Bell of Charlotte, NC, Jessica McGinnis Enloe and spouse Caleb, and Henry McGinnis and girlfriend, Jessica Maddox, all of Rutherfordton, NC. Myra is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Cecil M Burton Funeral Home & Crematory Chapel on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 11:00 am, with receiving of friends immediately prior, from 10:00-11:00 am. Burial will be immediately after the service at Elizabeth Baptist church cemetery. Rev's Rit Varriale and Jim Bracket officiating.
