Myrtha Wright Philbeck, 81, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed peacefully away on March 01, 2022 at her home. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Travis and Lois Hovis Wright and was preceded in death by her brother, Herman Wright and a sister Lillie Mae Jones. Myrtha graduated from Bethware High School and worked for Southern Bell for a short time before beginning a 33 year career in food service at Bethware School. She was a life long member of Patterson Grove Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher. Myrtha loved to spend time at the coast, pier fishing and camping with her family. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed feeding those she cared for. Myrtha was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved her.

Daughter: Leanne Gann and husband Mike, Kings Mountain, NC

Sisters: Louise McSwain and Sarah Queen and husband Bill of Kings Mountain, NC and Jane Summitt of Grover, NC

Grandchildren: Kevin Gann (Jada Putnam) and Heather Gann, both of Kings Mountain

FUNERAL SERVICE: Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Patterson Grove Baptist Church with Pastors Tim Hendrick and Greg Neely officiating

VISITATION: Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Patterson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
