Myrtle Elvira Wilde Dowell, 89, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at home surrounded by family, friends and loved ones. A native of Minot, ND, she was the daughter of the late Theodor and Elsie Fehr Wilde. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Troy M. Dowell, seven brothers and sisters (Claire, Mid (Millie), Theodore, Arthur, Lloyd, Harry and Donny.
Mrs. Dowell is survived by her sons , Kenneth Dowell of Shelby, NC and Scott Dowell of San Diego, CA; daughters, Nancy Creel of Winston-Salem, NC and Constance (Connie) Lucas of Leesburg, VA; her sister Loretta “Connie” Nitsch of St. Paul, MN; grandchildren, April Dowell of Charlotte, NC, Rob Creel and Kati Canosa of Advance, NC, Becky Hutson, Cassie Hutson and Roger L. Lucas, Jr. all of Leesburg, VA; she is also survived by her great grandchildren, Tyler and Brylie Creel of Advance, NC, Jenna Canosa of Advance, NC and Amiya Mallory of Leesburg, VA.
Mrs. Dowell was a member of Dulin Methodist Church in Falls Church, VA. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her family. She will be deeply missed.
