Mrs. Myrtle Frances Bland, 88, died Monday April, 15, 2013 at White Oak Manor in Waxhaw. Born in Cleveland County on February 15, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ollie Barnett Queen. She was a member of Dover Baptist Church. She worked for a number of years at Dover Mills and as a cashier for Jackson Cafeteria. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband R.V. Bland, Jr. and a son, Eddie R. Bland.
Mrs. Bland is survived by a daughter, Frances Patterson and husband Frank of Pageland SC; Three grandchild, Frank Patterson III, Clinton Patterson and wife Holly, and Heather Eidson; and three great grandchildren, Tyler, Hallie, and Abbe Eidson,
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday April 17, 2013 at 2:30 pm at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Dr. Irvin Price officiating. The family will receive friends at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory from 1:00pm until 2:00pm an hour before the service.
Memorials can be made to charity of donor's choice.
