Nancy Scruggs Forand, age 70, of Ellenboro, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.

Nancy was born Wednesday, August 8, 1951 to the late James Robert Scruggs and Ollie Cantrell Scruggs. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1969. She worked for General Fireproofing for many years and later in the banking industry for several years. Nancy was of the Baptist faith. She was an animal lover and enjoyed decorating her home on the inside and outside. Nancy was creative and enjoyed coloring/painting beautiful scenes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ed Scruggs and Harry Scruggs.

Left to cherish fond memories are her loving husband, David Forand; son, Chad Green (Jennifer) of Forest City; grandchildren, Kelsey Rodriquez (Nathaniel) and Landon Pritchard; her siblings, Lib Grayson, Nellie Jo Hamrick, Sara Lee Epperson, Ruby Dedmon, Jane Curtis, Danita Sartin; a number of nieces and nephews and her beloved fur babies, Kaylei and Mela.

The funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 pm on Thursday, January 27, 2022 with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 pm prior to service time at the funeral home.
