The National Night Out in Shelby was held on August 2, 2016. The event was hosted by the Shelby Police Department and included area emergency agencies including the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office, Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department, Shelby Fire and Rescue, Cleveland County EMS, NC Wildlife, React, the First Tee Program, Safe Kids Coalition and others.
