What: Veterans Memorial Day Program

When: 2:00 pm, May 28.

Where: Cleveland Memorial Park, 1225 College Ave., Hwy 150, Boiling Springs, NC.

More Info: Sponsored by the Cleveland County Veterans Service Office and Cleveland County Veterans Advisory Council, this public event will honor United States deceased veterans who served in all wars. Guest speaker for the Program will be Emanuel Hunt. Family members will be given the opportunity to honor their deceased veteran by announcing their name at a designated time. All are welcome to attend this outdoor event. Please bring a lawn chair. In the event of rain, the program will be held in the mausoleum. What: Memorial Day Fundraiser

When: 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, May 29.

Where: The Vintage Dog, 131 E. College Ave, Boiling Springs, NC.

More Info: Memorial Day fundraiser presented by Broad River Hemp, hosted by The Vintage Dog benefiting The Veterans Farm of NC. This 501c3 helps service members transition back into civilian life while also teaching skills in agriculture. Live music provided by USMC Marine veteran Justin Clyde Williams. Big Terrys Food truck serving delicious BBQ and more!

What: June's 1st Friday featuring C.A.R.E.

When: 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, June2.

Where: Greenbrook Design,112 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC.

More Info: "SQUEEZE" the day with us at JUNE'S 1st FRIDAY event Sponsor - Debbie Philbeck with TR Lawing. Live music by Hope Griffin. Special guests, Clifford's Army Rescue Extravaganza and some of their rescue dogs will be visiting too, so come meet some adoptable pups. Also, Jordan Jackson of Night Owl Iron Works & Forged & Fire Winner, and The Vintage Lemmon Candles and sweets available for sample and purchase by Royal T Cafe. This is a wonderful event that Greenbrook Design is having and also helping to raise money and awareness for Clifford's Army Dog Rescue and those with no voice. C.A.R.E (Clifford's Army Rescue Extravaganza) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all volunteer, dog rescue organization.

Hospice Cleveland County. Can you help us? We are looking for individuals to help water outside plants at our Testa Family Hospice House in Kings Mountain this summer. If you or anyone you know would like to help, please contact Krista Haynes at 980-408-2338 or Pam Sharts at 980-408-2359.

Nar-Anon Support Group. Meets 6:30 pm weekly on Tuesdays at the First Baptist Church, 120 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. Nar-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else's drug addiction. We meet in the classroom off Dale St. between Sumter & Campbell St. Park on the side of the church or in the alley.
