What: C.A.R.E. Annual Indoor Yard Sale
When: 8:00 am until 1:00 pm, July 19.
Where: The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 502 W. Sumter St., Shelby, NC.
More Info: Get ready! Our annual yard sale is coming up soon! As many of you know, there is no telling what we may have there.! Make your plans to attend and come early for the best selection. Got things to donate? We will be there on Thursday from 5 to 7 taking all donations. If that does not work for you, give us a call to work out pick up/drop off.
All proceeds will benefit Clifford's Army Rescue and the animals in need. C.A.R.E. is an all volunteer 501c3 animal rescue.

Casar's July 4th Celebration Friday July 4th 5pm at Casar Park. There will be Fireworks Extravaganza, Bounce House & Slide, Inflatable Water Slide, Common Clay Live on Stage (6-8pm) Games, Music, Food, Turtle Race, Water Games, & more! Fireworks at dark! Casar Park is located at 137 Deviney St., Casar, NC.
2025 Lattimore 4th of July Celebration: Celebrate your freedom by being a part of the Lattimore Fourth of July Celebration on Friday, July 4th! The parade will begin at 9 am and will feature floats, tractors, horses, antique cars, go carts, and much more. At the conclusion of the parade, a patriotic program and musical entertainment by "Finklestein Three" will be featured at the recreation park of Lattimore Baptist Church. The Lattimore Baptist Youth Department will sell concessions and lunch to raise funds for youth projects. Entries are needed for the parade! Businesses, families, and individuals desiring to enter floats, cars, etc. in the parade should line up on Towery Road at 8:30 am. Nar-Anon Support Group: Meets 6:30 pm weekly on Tuesdays at the First Baptist Church, 120 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC. Nar-Anon is a support group for those affected by someone else's drug addiction. We meet in the classroom off Dale St. between Sumter & Campbell St. Park on the side of the church or in the alley. Writer's INK: Writer's INK, local writing group, will hold their next meeting on July 11 at the Eugenia Young Memorial Library from 1-3pm. Writer's of all genres are welcome to attend and share stories and ideas and obstacles in publication.

Crouse 4th of July Parade: The parade is hosted by the Crouse Fire Department!! Come early and hang out at Crouse Fire Department and play (for free) kid's games, bounce house and dunk tank. The fire department will also have BBQ Bologna sandwiches to sell. Spectators are welcome and interested churches, organizations or individuals are urged to bring golf carts, tractors with trailers, floats, lawn mowers with trailers, classic cars, trucks, four wheelers, bicycles, floats, and goats, horses with wagons or buggies and horses with riders. If interested in being in the parade, stop by Crouse Fire Department to sign entry. All participants are requested to adhere to the proper safety attire/equipment required to operate their vehicles. It will be necessary for all entrants to sign an entry form either prior to or during the lineup to participate in the parade. The entry forms may be picked up in advance at the Crouse Fire Department located on West Old NC 150 Hwy, Crouse, NC or fill out an entry form at the line-up on parade day. The entries will begin lining up around 2:45 PM at the intersection of Crouse School Road and Swanson Road. GPS Address 3580 Crouse School Rd., Crouse, NC. Please note: We request no throwing of candy or small items to the public. It is recommended that you have walkers along the route to personally hand out candy and information. Be creative decorate your entry with a patriotic theme, or use your imagination and JOIN IN THE FUN!!! Everyone simply shows up and the fun begins. We anticipate a large crowd to view the parade. If you are looking for good old-fashioned family fun, we think you will find nothing better than visiting downtown Crouse Friday, 4th of July Parade at 3:30 pm. Rain or Shine. Lineup begins at 2:45.
