Neither Rain Or Thunder Could Stop "Alive After Five"
Dedicated crowd enjoys the tunes Uptown Shelby.
Rain and thunder almost had its way at this year’s first Uptown Shelby Association's “Alive After Five” concert, uptown Shelby, on Thursday, June 2, but the local and popular “Ocean Boulevard” band was able to take the stage and kickoff this season of entertainment. A loyal crowd waited out the early afternoon storm and the show proceeded. First to take the street and start dancing was Floyd Davis and Loretta Humphries (pictured above). In addition to the concerts this year, “Alive After Five” will be holding weekly cornhole games sponsored by Settle Heating and Air and will have a Kids Zone area sponsored by Shelby Savings Bank. Be sure to also stop by the Shelby Shopper & Info tent to register for a drawing at each “Alive After Five” for a $100 gift certificate.
