Nine pass state's detention officer certification exam

Cleveland Community College is pleased to announce that all nine students who completed a 174-hour Detention Officer Certification Course (DOCC) have passed their certification exam on the first try. The exam is comprised of 200 questions and takes about three-hours to complete. "This is an impeccable mark to meet with such a stringent state exam," said Aaron Vassey, law enforcement training coordinator at CCC.
The DOCC program is required for anyone who wants to serve as a detention officer at a facility within the state of North Carolina. The program is governed by the North Carolina Sheriff's Education and Training Standards Commission.
