Nita Francis, age 72, of Forest City, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023 at Hospice of Carolina Foothills in Forest City.
Nita was born Friday, May 11, 1951 in Cleveland County to the late Dennis "Pot" Jenkins and Lillie Belle Greene Jenkins. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1969. Nita worked at Burlington Industries for several years, but her passion was being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She was an avid shopper and loved finding bargains at yard sales and thrift stores. Nita also enjoyed reading. She attended Chase Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Jenkins.
Those left to cherish fond memories include her husband of forty-eight years, Daniel Francis; daughter, Adena Lewis (Robbie) of Ellenboro; son, Danny Francis (Kaylon) of Harris; grandchildren, Brandon Lewis (Chanslee), Lexi Kuykendall (Noah), Brittni Lewis, Tristan Francis, Braxton Lewis; great-grandchildren, Creslee, Cadeslee and Colt Lewis.
The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 27th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Scott Butler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
