Noah Joseph “Joe” Gingles

Rev. Noah Joseph “Joe” Gingles, 36, of 121 Brookhill Drive, Shelby, NC died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.  He was born on June 26, 1976 in Charlotte, NC to Noah Corry and the late Beulah Ann Gingles.

 

Rev. Gingles was a 1994 graduate of Shelby High School.  He furthered his education by receiving both an Associates and Bachelors degree from Grace Providence Bible College formerly Agape Bible College and was presently working on his Master of Divinity degree.

 

Growing up at Shiloh Baptist Church, Rev. Gingles was introduced to Christ by his great-grandmother Beulah Moore and preached his trial sermon at the age of 18.  He was ordained an elder by Bishop Samuel Martin and went on to found and pastor Blessed Nations Church from 2002-2006.  He also served in various other ministerial capacities including associate pastor at Good Samaritan Baptist Church, director of outreach and evangelism at New Jerusalem New Birth Church, elder of protocol at Faith Harvest Church and was currently an assistant pastor at Canaan Baptist Church

 

Rev. Gingles was employed with Cleveland Vocational and Harvest Works and also worked with the Interfaith Alliance.  Rev. Gingles devoted his life to helping those in need.

 

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Theodore Hill, Sr., Bobby Woody and Samuel Gilliard; his great-grandmother, Beulah Moore and Beaty Gilliard; one aunt, Delois Williams and an uncle, Samuel Gilliard.

 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Danielle Gingles; his father, Noah Corry (Melinda) of Shelby; one son, Noah Gingles, II of Shelby; two step-children, Tonya and Darius Hutchings both of Shelby; a god-son, Malik Vinson of Shelby; three brothers, Ryan Gingles of Shelby, and Chavis Corry and Walter Lipscomb (Shelia) both of Charlotte, NC; three sisters, Jennifer Davis of Shelby, Shannon Boyce (David) of Gastonia, NC and Tammy Lipscomb of Charlotte; his grandmother, Eula Woody of Shelby; his mother-in-law, Patricia Thompson of Aurora CO; a special cousin, Sharon Wilson two sisters-in-laws; ten uncles,; nine great-aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Bishop Randy Borders officiating and Dr. Robert E. Devoe delivering the eulogy.  Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM on Saturday.  Rev. Gingles may be viewed at Enloe Mortuary on Friday evening from 5:00 PM at 7:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. He will not be available for view at the church.
