Norma Jean Sisk Henson, age 75 of Shelby, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 7, 2023.

She is survived by a daughter, Leslie Hope Gibson (Jeffrey Addison) of Shelby, NC, two grandchildren, Taylor Selby and Kayla Crowder, both of Shelby, NC, a special great granddaughter, Waverly Selby, a sister-in-law, Sandra Charles, special friends, Dana Silva of Shelby, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born March 30, 1950, in Cleveland County, NC, Norma was the daughter of the late Fred Shirley Sisk and Lillian Ruth Huffstickler Sisk and was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Eugene "Gene" Henson, siblings, Maxine Sisk, Fred Sisk, Ruth Randall, and Freida Blanton.

Norma was a dedicated wife and mother. She was married for 52 years to Roger (Gene) Henson. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her daughter Hope, granddaughters Kayla and Taylor, and her great granddaughter, Waverly who was the light of her life. Norma worked in manufacturing at Fasco before retiring. She was a lifelong member of Manna Baptist Church. Norma will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and church family.

A visitation will be held from 2:00pm - 3:00pm, Monday, July 10, 2023, at Cleveland Funeral Services chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm at the funeral home. The burial will be at Sunset Cemetery in Shelby.
